Women in Space!

Only 10% of astronauts are female, and in space engineering that number seems even worse. This blog is dedicated to put the Women in Space in the spotlight to educate and inspire a new generation.

49 years apart, but both the first of their nation. Tereshkova was the first (Russian) woman in orbit and Liu Yang the first Chinese woman. Both were launched on June 16e, Tereshkova in 1963 and Liu Yang in 2012.
